This was posted by our own ChazOutlaw on how to get better racing from your AI rides in game.

Pretty simple really.  I leave the min setting for everything at 40.  I set the max on everything somewhere around 80.  Sometimes a little lower if a car is meant to be a piece of shit running in the back.  With such a wide range 40-80ish theres a good possibility a car will qualify great, then run like crap come race time or vice versa.  A car might start way in the rear after a bad qualifying run.  Then run very strong throughout the race.  In my offline races it always seems like a car or 2 up front drop through the field.  While a couple charge up from the back.  To me this seems to work, and be fairly realistic. As an added touch. I set a few cars at MAX aggression.  After a few races you get to recognize these cars in your mirror, and if you're a little off pace, you know to get out of the way cause you know the AI/guy behind you is an asshole, and gonna spin you if you give him a chance.

I've set em up this way for a long time. It's hella good racing, though if you get stuck behind, or in front of the wrong guy it can be frustrating.. Now thats simulation.

This sounds just like what I want for offline racing...where exactly do you access in the game to make the changes? Forgive a newbie!!!

in the opponent manager. U can change each cars stats individually. or there's an external program that makes the process quicker. I forget the name of it, but it allows you to change all the cars stats at once.. being new to the game..I'd suggest using the opponent manager though.
